In November 2019 a BLCS consultant travelled to Bahrain for a rig move observation of Ensign R601 after BLCS International had received a written assignment to create a comprehensive rig move manual.
During the observation, all steps of disassembly and assembly were documented and photographed as thoroughly as possible, in order to produce a detailed rig move manual with precise information for the assembly of the drilling installation.
In addition to detailed assembly and disassembly information, the manual also includes hoisting plans, a transport list, a risk inventory and general information essential for a rig move.
The complete manual was delivered to the client's satisfaction in the first quarter of 2020. A second manual for another rig in Bahrain followed shortly after.
